Baby Joseph’s newborn portrait photography session on-location in Albany WA
Even though it was technically winter, we were blessed with a warm sunny day for baby Joseph’s portrait session in Torbay, near Albany in Western Australia. Joseph, or ‘Joey’, as his mum likes to call him, was just 6 weeks old when he was prepped for his first newborn portrait photography session. Often, very young newborns are photographed indoors or in the studio, where it is warm and comfortable, but with Joey being a little older than the 10 day old newborns I usually photograph, he was wide awake for the entire session and up for an outdoor romp in the sunshine! I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of baby Joey and his loving mum.
It’s not everyday a client’s feedback gives me goosebumps but here’s what Joseph’s mum had to say about her photos 🙂
“Oh my god I can hardly believe how beautiful these photos are Kirsten Wowzers! I’m trying so hard not to cry. They are just so incredibly beautiful. It just shows your absolute talent as I didn’t feel on the inside like the amazing woman in the picture during the shots . Really makes me look like this glowing, loving and feminine +strong mumma – omg wow. this is the kindest gift that I’ve ever had Kirsten . You’re amazing !! Will take a better look later tonight. Love Tina + Joey❤️❤️❤️“

The Gould family chose the local golfcourse for their Walpole Family Portrait session which provided a variety of wonderful settings for their photos.
Their chosen package included an hour of photography and a minimum of 100, lightly edited, high resolution images on disc. But there were so many wonderful photos that their disc contained over 170 images!
Their package included the option for some additional editing in Photoshop, which I have put to use in the following collection of images.
Through advanced editing, I work to perfect the composition of each photo and create strong focal points by applying colour and tonal treatments to selective areas of the image. As you can see in the image below, I like to keep photos looking natural without obvious skin-smoothing treatments or excessive blurring. Here’s an example of what my advanced editing can do for your photos :
Many thanks to my client who gave her permission for these images to be published here. To protect my client’s identity, I have not used her real name.
Sarah’s boudoir photography session was held at a private home in Albany WA. I brought my mobile studio lighting and we set up in a bedroom with great natural light. Sarah must have had a ball shopping for her session and had a glamorous range of great lingerie for us to play with!
Her package included two hours of photography, a complete set of high resolution images and a selection of twelve images which I edited to magazine quality. Sarah used the images to create a sexy photobook as a gift for her boyfriend.
Boudoir Portrait Packages are tailored to your needs. For more information and to request a quote, please contact Kirsten on 0432 839 779 or send an email.
Jycara’s fashion design and catwalk presense made her the star of Teen Fashion at the Narrogin Senior High School Teen Fashion Awards recently. I was called in as a judge on the night of the awards and was blown away by her amazing talent! So naturally, I was thrilled when she contacted me about her model portfolio photography. I’d spent several years in Narrogin before coming to Denmark, so it was great to be able to get around to some of the locations I’d had my eye on for ages but hadn’t had the chance to document yet. Thank you Helen Sivyer for your styling and general assistance. Makeup by Amanda Gooley. Nice work ladies!
It was a glorious winters afternoon in Kendenup when I reached the Rotoff residence. We had been planning their family portrait session for well over 6 months and finally – today was the the day! The paddocks were green, the sun was shining and the Stirling ranges made a fantastic backdrop for their portrait photography session.
Jessie was a shy little flower when I arrived but by the end it was quite a different story! With some gentle coaxing from her parents she was laughing and playing with her shyness forgotten.
